| James has 22 years of health care experience associated with the medical device and insurance industries. These companies included; Bristol Myers-Squibb, Zimmer, Synthes, U.S.A., Smith+Nephew, and VNUS® Medical Technologies. His experience includes; Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Acquisitions, Project Management, Clinical Management, Sales Management, and Corporate Account Management. James holds a B.S. in Marketing and an A.A.S. in Management. James was a former Certified Clinical Trainer for VNUS® Medical Technologies and was instrumental in helping to open over 25 vein centers across the United States. As a Clinical Trainer, James helped train over 30 doctors in minimally invasive vein ablation techniques, sclerotherapy, and clinical “pearls” associated with venous disease. With CO-Founders, Dr. Thomas Pester and Dr. Jody Smith, James started The Center for Venous Disease™ and is the managing partner. James is a member of the American College of Phlebology and has been invited to sit on the Board of the American College of Phlebology Foundation in 2009. The Center for Venous Disease is a Certified Doctor Training Site for VNUS Medical Technologies Closure® Procedure. James and his family have lived in the Phoenix area for 15 years. James has been married for 12 years and they have 2 children. James and his family spend a great deal of time on the water on their boat the “JoshuaBay.” He is a Flotilla Staff Officer with the USCGAux whose principal functions are safe boating education, search and rescue operations, and assisting The Department of Homeland Security. James directed the CVD mission statement of our organization “We’ll treat your symptoms and touch your Heart.” This statement lends credibility to what we are and what we aspire to do! |

| Thomas L. Pester, M.D. |
| Dr. Pester is a General Surgeon who received his medical training at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. He completed his Residency in General Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Pester is an Active Member of the American College of Phlebology, American Medical Association, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Pester was the former Chief of Surgery at Luke Air Force Base and has had ties to the Arizona community since 1974. Dr. Pester works with The Center for Venous Disease in Arizona and El Paso, TX offices. Dr. Pester also has a thriving General Surgery practice in El Paso that focuses on women’s health issues. Dr. Pester has treated venous disease for over 20 years and has treated venous disease with minimally invasive techniques for over four years. Dr. Pester has served in various medical staff positions including Chief of Staff and Department Chairmanships. Dr. Pester was the past Medical Director for the Texas Medical Foundation which is the peer oversight organization for the Texas Medical Board. Dr. Pester holds medical licenses in Arizona and Texas. He is a Certified Doctor Training Site for VNUS® Medical Technologies and is a faculty member for VNUS Medical Education. Dr. Pester’s wife, Judy Pester is a doctor in the specialty of Pathology. They are both active in the Phoenix and El Paso communities. They enjoy dog agility competition with their 3 Standard Poodles. The Drs. Pester also enjoy Vintage Car Racing with a Formula Ford and 356 Porsche. They maintain a residence in Scottsdale in addition to a home in El Paso. |

| Joseph M. Smith, M.D., R.V.T. |
| Dr. Smith is a fourth generation New Mexican. He graduated High School from the New Mexico Military Institute. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of New Mexico. He attended Medical School at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Dr. Smith completed his Internship and Residency from St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is a Diplomate American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a Registered Vascular Technician Sonographer (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers). He is an active member of the American College of Phlebology. Dr. Smith continues his affiliation with: The American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, Critical Care Society of Medicine, Society of Minimally Invasive Therapy, New Mexico Medical Association, and is the Chairman of the New Mexico Trauma Foundation. Dr. Smith has been treating vein issues his entire medical career. He is the CO-Founder of CVD and operates centers in Santa Fe, NM and Albuquerque, NM. Dr. Smith is also a Certified Trainer and doctor training site for the VNUS Closure® Procedure. He has also been an Instructor at the VNUS Total Vein Care Courses. Dr. Smith and his family live in the Santa Fe area. Dr. Smith enjoys golfing, cooking, and fine dining. |

| David M. Smith, D.O. |
| Dr. Smith is a well known Vascular Surgeon in Arizona and has been honored as a “Top Doc” by Phoenix Magazine in 2003, 2005, 2006. Dr. David Smith attended the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas. Dr. Smith received his Internship and Residency training at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He continued his Vascular and Endovascular training at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Smith was the Chief Surgical Resident and received the Outstanding Intern Award. Dr. Smith is a member of the American College of Phlebology, American Medical Association, and American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association, Arizona Osteopathic Association, and International Society for Endovascular Surgery. Dr. Smith is the Chairman of Endovascular Department at one of Banner Health’s Hospitals. He also served as Vice Chief of Staff from 2004-2007. Dr. Smith has extensive training in Vascular Surgery and was one of the first doctors to perform minimally invasive procedures for venous disease in the State of Arizona. Dr. Smith and his family reside in the Phoenix area. He is dedicated to his children’s development and activities, and his involvement in his church. |

| Kimberly Hart, MSN, FNP-C |
| Kim graduated from Ball State University, in Muncie, Indiana with a BSN degree. She continued her education at the University of Phoenix, Phoenix Arizona and earned an MSN, FNP-C. Kim is Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Kim has additional training and is certified in Sclerotherapy, Laser, Botox/Injectables, and other aesthetic treatments. Kim’s experience is vital to our Total Vein Care Philosophy and our commitment to our patients. Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Automatic Electrical Defibrillators (AED), and Basic Life Support (BLS). Kim is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AACP), and an active member of The American College of Phlebology (ACP). Kim and her family reside in the Phoenix area with their dog Jak, and Moo Moo, and Tasha the family cats. Kim works in our Arizona CVD centers. |

| Darla is a Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center graduate. Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Basic Life Support. She is Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Darla works at The Center for Venous Disease in Santa Fe, and Albuquerque, New Mexico offices. Darla supports the Total Vein Care Philosophy and is the patient contact for medical education in our offices. She is an Active Member of the American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International, and New Mexico Nurse Practitioners Council. She is also a volunteer with the College of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her husband Lloyd is the CEO of Physicians Medical Center of Santa Fe. They have two children and enjoy the company of Jessie the Pomeranian. Darla enjoys reading, gardening, and yoga. |
